Land acknowledgment #
We gather on the stolen, Unceded Traditional Territory of the K’Ăłmoks First Nation, who have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial. Forcibly taken through violence, deception, and ongoing colonization. The K’ómoks people are made up of the Pentlatch, E’iksan, and SĹ‚uĹ‚txĘ· tribes, and their ongoing relationship with this land continues to this day. They have resisted erasure for generations, despite the genocide and displacement wrought by settler invasion. This is not a past injustice—it is a present reality. Land acknowledgments are empty without restitution. We demand the return of Indigenous land, water, and sovereignty. We commit to dismantling colonial systems, centering Indigenous leadership, and fighting for decolonization—not just in words, but in relentless action.
